Question:

I bought a trailer hitch for a 2015 KIA Soul last Summer. Will it fit or are there adapters for the 2019 Hyundai Sonata that I bought today?

The vast majority of the hitches we offer are vehicle-specific.

Unfortunately, due to the very different design of both vehicles, there isn't a safe way to make the hitch for your 2015 KIA Soul to fit your 2019 Hyundai Sonata. The good news is that KIA sold a lot of those vehicles, so there's very likely some demand for a used hitch, so you could sell the old one on FB marketplace or Craigslist.

You could use the proceeds to offset some of the cost of a new hitch for your 2019 Sonata, which luckily enough aren't terribly expensive. I'd recommend the Curt Class I hitch, part # C11402.

If you'll be needing the hitch for some light duty towing, you'll need a few other items such as a trailer wiring harness, part # C56390. If you still have the ball mount used with your old hitch, you can reuse that. If not, I'd recommend the # C45521 ball mount along with a # PC2 hitch pin. For a trailer ball, use # A-80 for a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball.
