Can You Use A King Pin Tripod Stabilizer With Trailair Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box

Question:
I own a 2017 Jayco Pinnacle and I plan to replace the factory Morryde pinbox with a Flexair 21k pinbox. I have always used a kingpin tripod under my pinbox to help with the stability, will the tripod be of no use with a air pinbox installed?

Expert Reply:
You will still be able to use your King Pin Tripod Stabilizer after installing the Trailair Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC369535 you were looking at on your 2017 Jayco Pinnacle as long as the king pin to ground clearance is still in the acceptable range of your stabilizer, which it should be as there will not be a significant change in distance the king pin is from the ground.
