Question:

Recently got a 2018 f150 crewcab to pull our pop up camper - 2000 lbs roughly. Also have four bikes to take when we go camping. Was told to look into the dual hitch receivers and I have been shopping your site. What are your recommendations?

It sounds like your 2018 F-150 came equipped with a Class III trailer hitch with a 2" receiver. Using any receiver adapter with that hitch will lower your towing capacity by half to 4,000 lbs, but that should still be more than enough for your application.

Let's talk about hooking up to the pop up first. Make no mistake, ensuring that your trailer is hooked up correctly should be your first priority. While the MaxxTow # MT70066 is a great accessory and will work well for you as long as your pop up is level with the ball mount of the adapter, if there's too much rise or drop (too much drop is what I'd suspect, if anything) in the hook up, you'll need to consider a different hitch accessory. I've linked an article that further explains trailer rise and drop.

The Malone # MPG544 is a similar adapter but has two open receiver tubes. This may come in handy if it turns out you have considerable trailer drop and do need an adjustable ball mount like the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS10037B to create a level hook up.

Once you have your pop up hooked up and level, I recommend the Yakima RidgeBack # Y02458 Four-Bike Rack to haul those bikes.
