Can I use it for more then one trailer or is it more like a permanent mount.

The Anderson Ranch Hitch 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter, part # AM3139, can be used on multiple trailers. It does not need to be a permanent mount adapter. It does use a threaded collar to install and remove the adapter to the king pin of the fifth wheel. If the collar will be removed and installed on multiple trailers it is recommended to also purchase the Anderson Slide Hammer, part # AM3103. This slide hammer will help save time in the installation and removal of the threaded collar.

I would recommend to always check with the fifth wheel trailer manufacturer to make sure the Anderson adapter can be used on that particular trailer. Anderson also recommends that if the trailer is longer than 38 feet and is heavy you should check to make sure it has a quality pin box installed before using the adapter on that trailer.
