Converting Old B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch To Work With OEM Puck Prep Package On 2021 GMC Sierra

Question:

I have a BandW companion 5th wheel hitch that I have used with a BandW turn over ball platform I now bought a new 2021 GMC 3500 with 5th wheel prep package. The old hitch will not work with the new goose neck platform Does BandW make something that will modify the old hitch so it will work with the new goose neck? Or, can I buy a new lower section for the companion so it will work with the new GM pucks? Thanks

A solution for you is to get the Replacement Base For B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitches # BWRVB3715. This will work with your factory puck system and will leave your bed rail-less whenever you don't have your hitch in the bed.

Another solution is to get an adapter rail for your new 2021 GMC Sierra 3500. Use the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package # DM6333. This will utilize your factory puck system on your Sierra and will allow you to use your B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3500-5W.
