This sometimes happens when you use different devices to connect to the echo. Be sure that all the devices in range are not connected. If this isn't the problem, go on all the devices and forget the curt echo in your phone blutooth settings. Disconnect the curt echo for about 10-15 seconds and then re-insert it into your vehicle before connecting your trailer. Once you have reset the app on your phone, connect to the curt echo again using the code on the echo lid. This should turn the Curt Echo # C51180 light solid blue. Connect the trailer and the light should turn green and you should still have a connection on your phone.
If this doesn't work, reinstall the app and repeat this process. If the problem continues, let me know and we can troubleshoot more until we get the problem solved.
