To properly measure the height of your hitch, with the tow vehicle parked on level ground, measure from the ground up to the top of your hitch receiver opening. I've attached an install video of the Curt # C13410 on a similar 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon, and the hitch height the installer observed was 15". This hitch is a great product that pairs perfectly with your vehicle.
To measure the distance between the height of your hitch and the ball mount, measure from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler, and subtract that from your hitch height. This is your drop size, or, if the trailer rides higher than the hitch, your rise size. For further knowledge about ball mount trailer hookups, I recommend reading the attached article.
