Where Does Reese Friction Sway Control Ball Mount to the Trailer Frame
Updated 05/25/2020 | Published 01/01/2013 >
Question:
I have a Reese weight distribution hitch what has a small ball to connect the friction anti sway bar to. I recently switched trailers so I have to install a new ball on the trailer tongue. How far back is the ball installed from the tip of the trailer hitch. Ive heard 24inch however I want to make sure.

Expert Reply:
The 24 inches is correct but make sure you are measuring in the correct place. You will measure diagonally from the center of the ball cavity on the trailer coupler back 24 inches along the trailer frame. This is where the center of the ball on the trailer frame will be. I have included a link to the instructions and I have included a picture that will help with this installation.
