Question:
I purchased the 3-in Reese super titan pintle mounting plate, and also purchased the Curt 30,000 lb pintle hook. When I tried to bolt the curt ain hook to the plate the bolts wont fit into the Reese super Titan pintle mounting plate. When I look up the hardware for Reese products they say theyre half inch grade 8 bolts similar to what Curt is using but for some reason it wont fit. is there a different size bolt that I should be using for the Reese super Titan?

The adjustment holes on the Super Titan Forged Pintle Hook Plate part # RP38186 are 17/32" diameter so they will accept and are designed to be used with 1/2" bolts. It should not matter what brand pintle hook is used as the hole size and spacing are both industry standards.
