Can Curt Pintle Hook Mounting Plate be Used in the Rise Position
Updated 05/28/2019 | Published 05/24/2019 >
Question:
Was looking for a hitch to get more rise. When we hook on with our current straight latch the rear end s about 3. So was looking for a hitch that has a rise to level out.

The Curt Pintle Hook Mounting Plate # C48349 can only be used in the drop position, but we do have an alternative solution for you with the B&W Tow & Stow Pintle Hook with 2" Ball # BWTS20055. This has a max rise of 4-1/2" so it will give you the height you're needing.
I also like this solution over the Curt simply because it's much easier to adjust since it's tool-free.
