Question:
Im looking to replace the tires on my ATV trailer. We do a considerable amount of interstate travel throughout the year. Is this tire designed for 65-70 mph travel for 8 hours a day?

Expert Reply:
The trailer tires that we carry, like # AM1HP56, are rated for up to 65 miles per hour. I do not recommend running then any faster than that because they can build up excess heat. Since trailer tires are built with a thicker sidewall than vehicle tires they also need to be inflated to the maximum psi as indicated on the tire. If under inflated this will lead to excessive heat build up and the tire can fail. I have included a link to our tire FAQ for you.
