Question:
Is there a way to order a replacement cap that springs shut and helps to lock in 7way? The lock part broke off of mine to help hold it on the 7way and has to be taped on.

If you are talking about the spring door on the Curt Echo itself, that is not available. I reached out to my contact at Curt to see if they had a replacement part or offered a repair service. The technician I spoke with has actually tryed to drive out that hinge pin before without successs.
If you are talking about the spring hinge door on the vehicle 7-pin, We do not have replacement caps that spring shut and I don't think I have ever saw one elsewhere. You will have to replace the entire fixture with something like the Tow Ready # 30717 connector if that fits your needs. I think I would go with the Hopkins # 37185 as it has a nice vehicle mounting bracket. I have included a link to some other products as well.
