Question:
We bought this brake controller in August. Used 5x now with no problems. Now no light on controller or connectivity when I plug into the truck and trailer. But if I plug trailer directly to truck, all lights etc work. It only doesn’t work if I add the controller in between. Thoughts on the issue?

My first thought is that there is no power to the 7-way plug. This is what activates the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180. Check for any damaged blades in the Echo and your 7-way plug. If it appears normal use a tester like the Hook Probe Circuit Tester part # PTW2993 to see if you have constant power on the vehicles 1 o'clock pin.
If no power is present then it is likely a fuse issue or a wire that has been damaged. If you do have constant power it is likely the Echo has failed and will need to be returned.
