Mounting TLA7708R Battery Box to Camper Bumper or Hitch Rack
Updated 10/28/2020 | Published 10/27/2020 >
Question:
Can you please recommend a method to mount he TLA7708R to the rear bumper of a camper? My camper van does not have a tongue, just a bumper and hitch socket. I was looking for a flat hitch rack that would hold this battery box along with perhaps some other items like a generator box and/or spare gas can.

I am sure there is a way to mount the # TLA7708R to the rear bumper of your camper but we don't have a specific way to recommend since that would require some out of the box thinking. Since you said you have a hitch you could use a hitch cargo carrier like # 63153 and attach the box to the floor of the carrier. I'd recommend using very wide washers on the bottom of the carrier to spread out the weight of the box.
