Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2004 Honda Pilot

Question:

What items will my husband need to install this bike rack on the back of his 2004 Honda Pilot. I see all these other products like locks, hitch balls, etc. and Im not sure what all I need. He just wants a bike rack, but he doesnt have a trailer hitch on the back right now. Your recommendation was for 2 products on the previous page. Please advise as soon as possible as I want to get the free shipping.

To add a bike rack on a 2004 Honda Pilot you will need to install a trailer hitch and use a hitch mount bike rack. The most popular trailer hitch for the 2004 Pilot is # 75599. I have included links to the instructions and a video showing a typical installation for you.

For an entry level trailer hitch mount rack you can use the Swagman Titan 2 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches Item # S63400. This rack can tilt down and includes a built-in cable lock. It does have a threaded hitch bolt to secure the rack to the hitch. You can add a Swagman's anti-rattle lock # S64029. I have linked a video review of this rack for you.
