Does the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Require Installing Anything In My Coach
Question:
I want to make sure this will work without having to be connected to the motorhome air brake system. I have a 2021 Tiffin Allegro Open Road 36 LA and my towable is a 2017 Jeep Wrangler.

This is partially correct. The Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Supplemental Braking System w/ Wireless Coachlink Monitor - Proportional # DM86VR installs in your tow vehicle and not in the coach, however it's not compatible with air brakes. Instead of the Stay-IN-Play, you'll want to use the Demco SBS Air Force One system # DM26VR. It will work very similarly and provide proportional braking for your tow vehicle, in a permanently installed braking system.
The wireless CoachLink sends a signal to the monitor in your coach when the toad's brakes are applied, but that's the only thing that will be installed on your 2021 Tiffin Allegro, and it only plugs into the 12v cigarette adapter so it's an easy installation.
The SBS Air Force One system is compatible with your air brakes, and you 2017 Jeep Wrangler, so it's a great option for you that is permanently installed.
