Troubleshooting A CU Error Code On A Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System

I have a brake buddy stealth and the CU light comes on while driving down the road towing my jeep

A 'CU' error code on your Brake Buddy Stealth # HM39530 is warning you to check the unit. I recommend checking all of your electric connections for anything loose, making sure your unit is getting 12v power and that it has a proper ground, check the pulley to see if it's binding up, and make sure the 7-wire cable doesn't have any dirt or debris blocking the pins from making full contact.
Is this a brand new install or have you had your Stealth for awhile and it's just now acting up? Let me know what you find and we can keep troubleshooting.
