Upgrading to a 5 on 4-1/2" Bolt Pattern On Dexter #9 2,200 Lb Axle

I want to upgrade my jayco 94 1207 to larger wheels, it currently has 10 inch bias tires and I’d like to go to 13 or 14’s. I have a dexter 2200lb #9 axle with 7 inch hydraulic brakes. Is purchasing 7 inch 5 on 4.5 wheel hubs that are only rated for 2000lb rather than 2200lbs dangerous? If so can I purchase 10 inch brakes and hubs to accommodate a larger tire?

It sounds like you may have a 4 on 4" bolt pattern and want to switch to a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern to use larger wheels. If that is the case then the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # 8-271-7UC3-EZ has the bolt pattern you're after and will work on a 2,200 lb axle. That said, it will limit the wheel size to 12" due to the hub surface. I recommend the Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Tire w/ 12" White Spoke Wheel part # AM31199DX.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to install 10" brakes/hubs on the above axle.
