Question:
Thanks, Jason. Yes… I have a horizontal tank. I will get a new pigtail and see if that helps! I want to get one that has a gauge on it, but unfortunately I don’t see that you sell any. Although there is a gauge on the tank, it is not accurate at all. Thanks again

It does sound like the pigtail is the issue. They often have a backflow preventer on them and it sounds like yours is malfunctioning. I recommend using the Propane Hose with Back Check - Type 1 x 1/4" Male NPT - 20" # 37207-30865. The tank orientation can absolutely be an issue as vertical tanks should never be used horizontally. There are horizontal tanks that should be utilized for your application. If you are using a vertical tank in a horizontal position this could be the issue and also is very dangerous as the gas versus liquid is designed to function a certain way and spills can occur if not installed, transported, and used in the proper orientation.
