The Replacement Swivel Snap Ring for Bulldog Jacks, part # BD500241, is used to hold the Bulldog series 150, 160 and 170 snap-ring swivel jacks to the mounting bracket on the trailer. The snap ring will insert into a groove on a mounting bracket, like the Replacement Weld-On, Flat, Snap-Ring Swivel Plate for Bulldog Jacks, part # BDP2052000, and keep the swivel jack attached to the bracket but still allow you to swivel the jack into the up or down position.
If the snap ring is removed it would allow the swivel jack to be removed from the mounting plate on the trailer.
