When using an electric winch to pull a rolling load onto a trailer, it is typically recommended that the winch have at least the capacity of the weight of the vehicle. I would recommend taking a look at the Bulldog Utility Winch, # BDW15012. This was designed for car hauler applications and will provide the capacity that you will need at a good price. At a 45 degree angle, it has a rolling load capacity of 4,499 lbs.
This winch includes a hand held remote control to allow you to control the line pull when loading and unloading to prevent the vehicle from running away. To power the winch, I recommend running a heavy gauge wire to the vehicle battery or mount a separate battery on the trailer to power the winch. For a wiring kit that will provide quick disconnects, you can use wiring kit, # BDW20207.
