Inno Velo Gripper on a Bike with a Carbon Frame
Updated 09/28/2020 | Published 09/24/2020 >
Question:
I have an Inno Velo Gripper that I have been using with a bike that has an aluminum frame and carbon fork. I have been using it for a while and it is a great product. I clamp the bike to the fork and seat stay for transport. I will be getting a bike with a full carbon frame shortly. Will the Velo Gripper damage the frame of the bike? Will I need to add support around the fork and stay when I use it?

Expert Reply:
If the Inno Velo Gripper, part # INRT202, has not been scratching the carbon fork of your current bike, then it probably will not scratch the carbon frame of your new bike.
However, I spoke with Inno on your behalf, and they cannot guarantee there will be no scratching. They recommended using some kind of padding between the grip of the Velo Gripper and the frame.
