Fixing a Buckle and Strap Conversion Kit with the Straps Screwed into the Wrong Place

Question:

When I installed the buckles strap. I did it wrong. It’s underneath Instead of on top and I can’t get it off. I’m a girl and put it together all myself. Everything but that is right. Can I get some help? Please. How do I replace or? Thanks

I'm sorry to hear about your trouble. We have a tech who has made that same mistake. The problem he cited was the anchor on the other side of the screw spinning when trying to unscrew the strap, preventing the screws from loosening.

If this is in fact what is happening, then you need to find a way to secure the anchors while trying to unscrew the other side. You could have another person hold the anchor in place with their finger on top while you unscrew the screws underneath. Meaning, place the cover so that the straps are underneath and unscrew the screws from there while someone else is above the cover, holding the anchors in place.
