Looking at the bd- 190708 which is a top wind jack. Is there any advantage to a side wind like the bd-190758 ? Thanks

There really is not an advantage to having a side-wind jack versus a top-wind jack. It really just comes down to personal preference and what clearances are available on the trailer. You may find that the handle location would interfere with components mounted on your trailer with one style, but not for the other.
In theory you would need to bend over farther to operate a sidewind jack since the jack handle goes up and down. Depending on the height of your trailer this may not be an issue for you, but it might be something to consider.
