What Circuit on 7-Way Needs 12 Volts to Install Curt Echo Mobile # C51180

Question:
I bought this controller from you recently and finally tried to use it. I could not pair it to my phone . the 7 way on my ranger is mounted upside down so I cant see what the led is doing. I went through hours of attempts and called The maker. Best I can tell, there is no power to the blue or the red contacts in the 7way. My question is should I have the mech. run a hot wire to the red contact for 12 v. as told by the maker. and should I have him run a hot wire to the blue electric brake contact. this would mean that when my brakes are applied, the trailer brakes would come full on in my opinion. but using the curt echo, it would control the amount of power the trailer brakes got. Or should I not have power connected to the blue contact because the echo controller, will send power to its blue connector instead? I need to know ASAP as truck is in shop this morning. thanks

The Curt Echo Mobile brake controller part # C51180 requires 12 volts only to the 1:00 pin which is the 12 volt accessory circuit. The brake output circuit does not need to be completed on the 7-way and honestly there would be nothing to wire it to since it normally runs to a brake controller and the Echo fills that need.
