Can CE Smith Offset Spool Roller Assembly Attach to Stainless Steel Frame
Updated 09/16/2020 | Published 09/15/2020 >
Question:
I am planing to attach those rollers hot dip galvanized on a 304 stainless steel square beam 2x2 to build a boat ramp for catamaran in fresh water. I am worried about the transfer of the roller steel protection and rust over time. Should I electrically isolate the roller base and U bolt from the stainless steel beam with some kind of trailer bunk fabric? Also which spacing do you advice between each roller on the beam? Thanks in advance

Going from galvanized steel to stainless steel wouldn't be an issue with the part # CE32150G that you referenced since they are the same type of metal. As far as spacing you'll need to use your best judgment but when in doubt using more would give you more support so I would lean that way if you aren't sure.
