Does the Better Bath RV Shower Pan Require Bracing or Support

Question:
I am replacing a similar shape and size shower pan in my Motorhome. Do I need to build a base for this shower pan? My old pan was very weak and flexible and had no center base. The old pan cracked around the drain pipe. Do you have any installation instructions and requirements?

The Better Bath RV Shower Pan part # LC298087 doesn't necessarily have requirements for support. It is built of a sturdy material and is designed to flex slightly during use. With this said eventually over extended periods of time and with more use than they usually see they can wear and crack just like yours did.
If you decided to bracing the base could really help out in extending the life of the base and keep it from flexing out and eventually cracking as you've seen. The bracing could be as simple as some support or you could go as far as to create a full base with mortar that we see in housing applications.
