Question:

Hello, I read all the posted questions, but one answer stated that the eco hitch is hidden while the dcurtis not. Both 1 1/4 hitches seem to be in the same same position in the car. Can you please clarify? Is quality similar for both? with the sale, the curt is 1/2 the price.

Both the EcoHitch and Curt trailer hitches fit your 2016 Volkswagen Golf and both feature similar specs. Both the Curt # C11564 and the EcoHitch # 306-X7333 feature a design that conceals the crossbar beneath the rear fascia. The EcoHitch is slightly more concealed due to the receiver being attached more closely to the crossbar than it is on the Curt hitch. They are otherwise nearly identical in terms of fit, function, and installation.

I recommend the Curt hitch as it is durable and has a clean, from-the-factory look and is a bit easier to install, as it doesn't require trimming of the rear fascia.
