Question:
For our 2020 Honda Odyssey, using the OEM or etrailer roof rails, what is the recommended crossbars? I havent found measurements, but it seems like the rear OEM crossbar would be far enough forward that the Malone SeaWing Load Assist would not be near the rear edge of the van. Do you know the measurements for how far the crossbars would be from the back of the vehicle? Would the 25inch load assist reach the back of the vehicle? Does it make sense to use Non-OEM crossbars like the Malone AirFlow2 because I could position it far enough back that the Load Assist would be useful? Thank you for your help. - Ron

I recommend using the eTrailer Raised Side Rails # e99034 then use the Malone Air Flow 2 # MPG216 because you can then position the bar wherever you like on your roof to meet the needs of you and the Malone SeaWing # MPG113MD. Having the space to adjust the roof rack rails is much better than having fixed points on the roof. Fixed points limit you to accessories in some cases but using the Malone Air Flow 2 with our Raised side rails is going to give you a clean look, install and allow you to use the Malone SeaWing With Rear Loading!
Having the bars as far back as they can go is what you want when using the rear loading feature of the Malone SeaWing. It will help loading, but even if you did not get the load assist version of the Seawing, it still isn't hard to load.
I've actually installed these roof rails on a Honda Odyssey and used the Malone Air Flow 2 on the roof as well and worked out great! I've included a video of both!
