Question:
I have a 4 place alum snowmobile trailer that is running the 20.5x10 wide trailer tires, would there be any benifit running the taller and narrower 5.30x12 load range d tires, I am looking for the best towing and stability I can get. otherwise what brand of tire in the 20.5x8x10 would u recommend?

Expert Reply:
It is always recommended to go with the original tire size as indicated by the trailer manufacturer. The specific size was chosen for best performance given the type of load that will be on it.
The modern equivalent to a 20.5x8x10 is an ST205/65-10. The Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire, # AM1HP54, would be a good choice. It is a load range D tire rated for 1,220 pounds at 70 psi. For longest life and best performance you should always inflate trailer tires to the maximum psi as indicated on the tire.
