I have a solution for you, but the Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loops Kit # C60618 you mentioned is designed to fit in the OEM puck system on Ram trucks and not on any aftermarket kit.
To add an underbed gooseneck hitch to your 2012 Ram 2500 short bed, I recommend using the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit # BWGNRK1313.
