How To Fix Hard To See Gauge On Instrument Panel of Motorhome
Updated 08/10/2020 | Published 08/06/2020 >
Question:
Ive been looking for a small light bar that would help illuminate the dash gauges on our RV/Ford E450 cut away chassis. We have a Winnebago Aspect motorhome and the instruments are difficult to see, mainly driving during the daylight hours. With the parking lights or headlights on you can see the gauges much better. I was hoping to find a small light that I could attach to the top perimeter of the gauge display. This is an issue with many motorhomes, including the F-53 Ford chassis RVs. Thank you for your assistance.

I think the best option to help illuminate the instrument panel better in the daytime would be to take some LED strips like part # UCL90CB and line the top or bottom of the bezel which holds the instrument panel. This could then be wired to an on/off switch so you can turn them off at night. It would also provide you with plenty of extra light to illuminate other areas of the motorhome such as inside a cabinet or under the dash in the foot well area.
