Question:

I bought and returned the Thule Easy Fold XT because it was too hard to load the bikes on my 2014 Ford Explorer, and we didnt like how the arms attached on the frames. We have 2 Giant Reign E full suspension ebike, 57 lbs each. You have so many great sounding racks, the Hollybwoods, Rola, Swagman, Saris, We need some advice. I am 69 and my 54inch wife is 61. Getting the bikes on the rack is a consideration and ease of use is important. The Thule did not seem to really protect the bikes from contact with the rack or each other and the extensive use of plastic did not inspire confidence. Suggestions?

For your Giant E-Bikes I'd recommend the Kuat NV part # NV22G for a very secure and easy to use bike rack with enough weight capacity as well. This grabs the bikes securely by the wheel/tire instead of using a frame clamp. To make loading the bikes easier we have the ramp kit part # ANVBRB as well.

The NV also has a repair stand built into it in case you had to work on the bikes while out riding but if you preferred a version without that the NV Base part # BA22B is the same rack without the stand. This saves you some money and weight as well. Check out the review video I attached as well.
