Question:

I have a 2019 GMC 2500HD with factory hitch with a 2 1/2inch receiver. I used the 14000 lb equalizer with a 2inch x 2 1/2inch reducer sleeve but had a lot of play in hitch receiver. I recently purchased the 16k wds with the 2 1/2inch shank from etrailer with the hope of eliminating the play in hitch. This however didnt work. I still have similar amounts of play as with reducing sleeve. Any thought or advice to get a more tighter fit from hitch receiver and shank?

Hitch rattle/noise is pretty annoying. We have products like the Hitch Immobilizer part # BX88225 which you can use to eliminate all of that noise. This uses a couple U-bolts to pull the shank of the ball mount tight against the hitch tube to get rid of the movement. This specific model fits 2-1/2 inch hitch sizes like you have as well.
