In order for the Thule # TH898 Hullavator to work on your roof rack, the crossbars will need to extend at least 4-8 inches beyond the roof rack feet as shown in the provided diagram.

If you already have the factory crossbars, you'll need to remove them and install aftermarket crossbars to get the proper length. The Malone AirFlow 2, part # MPG217 would likely work, but you'd need to measure the outside side to outside distance of the rails on the roof of your Ascent. If this distance is less than 57 inches, the # MPG217 would work for certain.

If your measurement is greater than 57 inches, you'll need to go with a longer crossbar like what's provided with the Yakima CoreBar roof rack, assembled from the following parts:
