Question:
I want to install a flat bow stop and mounting bracket on my trailer for my john boat. The tongue on my trailer measures 2.5 inches. I am considering the YRJONBLOCK bow stop and the CE32004G mounting bracket. Is this the correct application or can you recommend a diffferent combination? I have to be able to move the unit along the trailer because I will have to haul different sized boats. I can not use a bow stop mounted to the winch due to the length of the trailer vs. the boats.

Expert Reply:
The Yates Flat Bow Stop, # YRJONBLOCK, requires a 1/2 inch diameter shaft like # CE10700A. The bracket you mentioned, # CE32004G, takes a 5/8 inch diameter shaft so a 1/2 inch diameter will fit but it will be loose. Out of the parts that we carry this would be the best combination for your application.
