C18320 kayak carrier comes with all gear necessary to safely secure the kayak? tie down straps etc.

The Curt J-Style Kayak Carrier # C18320 comes with tie downs to secure the kayak to the carrier, but it doesn't come with bow and stern tie-downs. We recommend using bow and stern tie-downs because it just further secures your kayak and helps to keep it from sliding back and forth if you have any extreme conditions while driving.
I recommend either picking up the Yakima Bow/Stern Tie-Down Ropes w/ Ratchets and Strap Loops # Y04031 or just going with our J-Style Kayak Carrier # e98878 which has a very similar style, but it comes with the bow and stern tie-downs as well so you get everything you need in 1 kit.
