It sounds like you are wanting to add a brake controller to a 2014 GMC Sierra and if that is the case we have some great options, the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller part # RED44FR is one of the best options on the market and it has a factory like finish. It can be installed using the Redarc Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers part # 331-TPH-010.
The fuses and relays needed to power the brake controller will already be present in the fuse box under the hood. I suggest testing the brake controller plug under the dash to see if you have power there but if not then you can start to test/change and replace the fuses and relays. I would however double check the owner's manual or fuse box lid to be sure you are checking the correct fuses.
