Question:

When putting an aftermarket towing package on my Chevy Traverse should I put a transmission cooling system like the manufacturer does? I think would it allow my vehicle tow better? How much would it cost to install?

In regards to towing, it's never a bad idea to add an additional transmission cooler. The factory tow package on most vehicles like a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse comes with a larger or additional transmission cooler so if you don't have the factory tow package and are still looking to tow a trailer then it would be a good idea to add one. I recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13503 along with the Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter Fitting part # D13035.

In regards to installation, this will vary by shop so it's best to call around but a few hours labor is not unheard of.
