Question:
I recently sold my F250 and now have a Chevy 3500 with the factory puck system. Is there any reason I cannot use my old pullrite model 1400 hitch in the Chevrolet?

We don't offer PullRite hitches but from what I was able to find, it looks like the 1400 Series is only designed to fit in the Ford puck systems, so you wouldn't be able to fit it on your 2016 Chevy Silverado 3500. If you're looking for a hitch that will fit in the factory pucks on your 2016 Chevy 3500 and have an 8 ft truck bed, I recommend using the B&W # BWRVK3705, which will fit in the factory puck system. If you've got a 6-1/2 foot bed you'll need a slider hitch, so I recommend using the # BWRVK3770.
The B&W hitches are known for their extremely high quality and durability over time, as shown with their lifetime warranty. I also like that they've got 1" thick, dual locking jaws that provide you with superior security and less rattle. Additionally, the dual pivoting heads ease hookup and helps to limit chucking during towing; overall it's one of our highest rated hitches and you're getting a high quality 5th wheel hitch that I can't say I've ever heard a complaint about.
With that said, if you wanted an auto-slide hitch similar to the Pullrite you could use the Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550034, which also requires mounting adapter # DM6194. The Hijacker would be a great option if you don't want to have to get in and out of the truck to activate the slider, so it's going to be a little bit easier to use if you're used to not having to mess with the slider.
You could likely sell your PullRite hitch to help recoup some of the costs of purchasing a new hitch in this case, so it might be worth considering. I've linked some review videos of these parts for you to have a look at, as well.
