Hello, I apologize as I am going to ask a couple questions, but you have such great insight that I need to ask all of them. We have a 2020 Subaru Forester Sport with roof railings and interested in crossbar set ups. I want to make sure I do not want to get crossbars that are too short, but I also dont want excessively long ones. I anticipate using them to transport a cargo box and 1-2 SUP boards at the same time. I could also see myself transporting 2 kayaks on 2 Hullavator Pro racks.

I have some great roof rack options for a 2020 Subaru Forester. The best size will really come down to what you are looking to carry. I have attached a nice chart below that gives some better insight on this. As you can see, in order to carry both a cargo box and surf board you'll need super long crossbars which is possible but they will extend out from the vehicle very far. The Yakima CoreBar System will allow you to choose the crossbar length so this is what I recommend, part # Y33TR for the feet and part # Y00423 for the 70" crossbars.

This will then allow you to mount a cargo box like the part # Y95AV and a surf board carrier like the part # Y07413. The Hullavator part # TH898 (No SUPs) and ShowDown part # Y04081 (Yes SUPs) will be too wide to use either two together or with a cargo box.
