Question:

I have a 2026 Ford Explorer ST with factory rails. I also have a Yakima setup for an older Explorer 2022 that didnt have rails i.e. naked roof clamp on towers and aero crossbars. If I get just the rail-to-crossbar adapters for a 2026 Explorer, will the old aero bars fit those adapters. Im guessing they will, but I wanted to be sure before I buy.

Hey Steve!

Since you already have a Yakima full kit for the 2022 Ford Explorer with a naked roof (which should be something like the Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack for Naked Roofs # Y45AB), then the only thing that you need for your 2026 Ford Explorer ST is the TimberLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars # Y33TR. These towers are a direct fit for your factory rails and will fit with all Yakima crossbars, so there will be no issues bringing your bars right over to the new Explorer.
