Question:

Is the Kuat transfer 2 a good match up with a 2014 Mercedes Benz Sprinter that has the factory 2 inch hitch with a 1.5 inch pin hole depth? Question # 2 With the install of a Kuat Transfer 2 on a Sprinter will the rear barn doors be able to open?

The Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Platform Rack # KU74FR has a measurement of 5 inches from the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack when folded. You will just want to measure from the hitch pin hole to the outermost part of the bumper.

The Sprinter rear barn doors will open but you won't be able to fully open the doors for access. The best way to allow you access to those doors is to also add the Kuat Pivot 2 # PVP20B to give you the swing away option to give you the full access. This will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch receiver by 50% but that should be well within the range for that bike rack and compatible bikes.
