Question:
What is the difference between this H/D assy part # 8-219-4UC3-EZ and H/D Assy 42866UC3-EZ?! Side by side comparison using eTrailers compareinch reveals nothing conclusive. I have 6Klb/6Klb csa axles with 8-bolt 6.5, installed on a 2006 Keystone Challenger 5th wheel, and need to order new seals for when I replace the Brake assemblies. I have not had them off yet as I want to have the seals on hand before I start. Thanks for your time

The only difference between the two hubs is the inside dimension of the grease seal included with the hub drum.
The # 42866UC3-EZ uses a 10-36 grease seal with a 2.25 inch inside diameter and the # 8-219-4UC3-EZ uses a 10-10 grease seal that has a 2.125 inside diameter.
To determine which is compatible with your existing spindle, you will need to use a digital or dial caliper to measure the surface of the spindle that the grease seal rides against (see diagram). If this surface of your spindle measures approximately 2.125 inches, go with the # 8-219-4UC3-EZ. If that surface measures around 2.25 inches, choose the # 42866UC3-EZ.
