What is the 16 gauge blue wire on the modulite harness for? It is not explained anywhere.

The 16 gauge wire of the 7-way kit # TK24FR gets ran through the headliner of the vehicle to the reverse light circuit of the vehicle at the rear of the vehicle. If you don't need the reverse light circuit active on your 7-way you can skip this step.
