Question:

I just purchased a 2020 Subaru Forester and discovered that my trunk mounted bike rack was not compatible. Ugh! So, now I get to purchase and have installed a hitch and chose a rack. So happy to have the added expense! Anyway, it appears that any bike rack will interfere with the back up camera so I think I would like one that is EASILY removed from the hitch when I am not biking yet a sturdy fit when I need it. I am female and minimally handy and working on that upper body strength. So, suggestions please. Thanks so much

We do have some trunk mount bike racks that fit your 2020 Subaru Forester if you're wanting to go with a more cost-effective option (I recommend the Yakima FullBack # Y02634), but I will say that a hitch mount option will be much easier to install and the biggest benefit is that it won't be making contact with your new vehicle.

The best trailer hitch for you is the EcoHitch # 306-X7391 because it's currently the only 2" receiver that has a hidden crosstube. This not only looks more clean but it also promotes ground clearance. If you want to go the more cost-effective route then I recommend the Curt # C13409 which is a great hitch, it just has a crosstube that is visible so your ground clearance will be reduced.

For a hitch mount bike rack I recommend the Saris SuperClamp EX Bike Rack # SA4025F for 2 Bikes which weighs in at 34 lbs so it is really lightweight.
