Question:
2013 Tacoma - I would like to lock the tailgate. As Ive seen in various posts, there is an aftermarket replacement for the tailgate latch that has a lock, and a version that accommodates the camera. Im wondering if the camera alignment is accurately preserved, as the rear view in the mirror has guide lines for closeness to obstacles, etc. and I dont want this to be messed up.

For the 2013 Tacoma, you'd need the Pop & Lock # PAL5500. The locking tailgate handle is compatible with models equipped with the rear view camera system, and that installation of the locking handle will have no effect whatsoever on the operation of the camera.
You might also be interested in part # PAL8525, which turn the tailgate lock into a power lock. You can see an install video for the tailgate lock by clicking the provided link.
