Does It Matter Which Way the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller Is Mounted

Question:
Hi, I am thinking of buying the Echo Mobile Brake Controller Item C51180 but my 7 way connector is installed at an angle using your item 18156. Can the Echo controller be used with this setup for the 7-way controller as it will be sitting at an angle to the direction of travel? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 will work just fine mounted in any direction. This has been tested numerous times so the angle of the 7-way trailer connector won't be an issue at all. The trailer connector does not need to be mounted parallel to the direction of travel.
