Question:
With the design of the EcoHitch # 306-X7338 for the 2018 Chevy Volt, the safety chain attachment thru the bumper cutout may cause the chains to rub the bumper. Is there a safety chain sleeve or perhaps a method of routing the chains along the tongue to prevent this? Any other ideas?

I spoke with EcoHitch about the EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7338 and they stated that you'd actually run the safety chains behind the bumper from underneath to avoid them hanging down and causing damage. If you are still worried however you could use the Roadmaster 20" Safety Cable Extensions part # RM-910648-20 which are coated so even if contact were to occur it would not cause damage.
