Replacement Tailgate Seal for Extang Original Version of Solid Fold Tonneau Cover

Question:
I have the first version of the extang solid fold not 2.0 and my tailgate seal is finally failing after 6 years. Will the replacement tailgate seal 2.0 attach the same way?

I spoke with my contact at Extang and found that they no longer offer a tailgate seal that will work with the original version of the Solid Fold tonneau cover. The seals available for the 2.0 version aren't compatible and wouldn't work for you. My contact did tell me that some folks have had luck using self-stick weatherstripping that you can find at your local home center, but that's the best advice they could provide.
